AS2/AS3: CustomEase

View Blog Post

Jack Doyle, the maker of TweenLite/TweenFilterLite/TweenMax (and as I’m sure you already know if you read this blog, a good friend of mine) has done it once again. He’s created a class called CustomEase which allows you to create custom easing equations for usage in your tweening engines (although you should really be using TweenMax by now :P).

He has also released a Custom Ease Builder on his site which aids you in creating these equations with a nice and simple graph application that translates the code you’d use in your projects for you right on the spot. It’s SO simple and such a powerful tool that there is no reason why you shouldn’t use it. The download files include the Custom Ease Builder FLA so you could use it as a standalone on your machine. I think I speak for everyone when I say, “Keep up the great work and keep it coming, Jack.”

I should also note, however, that CustomEase is not freely distributed to the public. You have to be a member of Club GreenSock to get it (as well as some other great bonus classes you get when you join the club). It’s definitely worth the small donation for all his hard work.

Nice, the one with FUSE (AS2) was great too. Custom easing is a must, its like drawing in time.

Beautiful! 🙂
