Jack has officially (out of beta) released version 10 of TweenLite/TweenMax. This is the version with all the plugin architecture as well as some awesome new features and, as usual, speed improvements. You can read all about it on his official posting.
I had a comment made on the AxisScroller v1.0 post by Riccardo Bartoli mentioning that disabling the arrows via the optional param but not defining the actual arrow clips would cause an error. I never posted v1.1 because I was still experimenting with it but I uploaded it now because it fixes that bug. To […]
It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Jack Doyle’s TweenMax and a huge supporter of the GreenSock tweening platform. However, I would not be doing “my job” if I didn’t announce the release of Shane McCartney’s Tweensy. It is a new AS3 tweening engine that seems very advanced and robust. I took […]
Ronny Welter, a Flash developer from Belgium, just released version 2 of Playr for AS3. In his own words: Playr is a open source Flash Actionscript 3 class which takes the heavy lifting off your hands and makes building any kind of music player a piece of cake.
I’ve just updated the QueryString class to fix an issue that was pointed out in the comments by roi. Trying to recover query string variables that do not exist no longer causes the other variables to not show, rather it just returns an empty string. You can get the update from the original post.
While I’ve previously made posts about tracking using Google Analytics in your Flash projects as well as a utility class to do that as well, both of those things were AS2 (even though they are easily ported over to AS3). Now it appears that there is an AS3 API for this that doesn’t even require […]

It is written in Actionscript 3.0 and meant for Flash Player version 9 and higher. The Collision Detection Kit comes with […]
I made a very small update to the SequentialLoader which allows you to pass in an optional parameter to check for policy files when loading content from a different server. You can grab the new stuff at the original post as I’ve updated all files there. Backwards compatibility should not be an issue as the […]
View Blog Post Many of you know that when it comes to tweening I look no further than TweenLite/FilterLite/Max (usually TweenMax cuz I’m crazy like that). Jack has just released a new utility class called TweenGroup which goes hand in hand with his tweening engines to add some extra and awesome functionality.
I recently posted about Jack Doyle’s new class called TransformManager which basically allows you to take a display object and make it a transformable item. This means that you can easily scale/rotate/move around the object in real-time in your application. It just so happens that I got tasked with creating an application where you can […]
