Much like the AS2 version of the system, the AS3 version features only a 2kb SWF bloat, TweenFilterLite for filter tweening, and performs very well compared to the “big name” animation systems. All pertinent information can be gathered from the posts above without having me reinvent the wheel. As of this posting, it is now at version 5.05 but be sure to visit the site to get the latest and greatest updates whenever grabbing this class.

My good friend Jack Doyle over at GreenSock updated his TweenLite tweening engine. As of this posting, it is now at version 5.02 but be sure to visit the site to get the latest and greatest updates whenever grabbing this class. The file size that it adds to your SWF is only 2kb so it is an ideal solution for anything that needs to be very small (banners) but it is powerful enough to handle being used in full featured sites. It has pretty much all of the things that your other big name animation systems have like Fuse and Tweener but clocks in at a much smaller file size. You can also use TweenFilterLite to tween filters much like you can in Fuse.
